Buyer/Planner

DSSI is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Buyer/Planner to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in piping estimating and project management, with the ability to negotiate effectively and manage costs throughout the project lifecycle. In this role, you will play a crucial position in ensuring that projects are accurately priced and that contracts are effectively managed, contributing to the overall success of our construction endeavors.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for Golf Course Irrigation projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to gather necessary information for estimates.
• Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather data for accurate pricing.
• Negotiate prices with subcontractors and suppliers to achieve cost-effective solutions.
• Prepare and present detailed reports on estimates, including breakdowns of labor, materials, and overhead costs.

Skills

• Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of project management principles.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate cost assessments.
• Knowledge of construction site operations and safety protocols.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
