Shipping and Receiving Clerk

We are seeking a skilled Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team in a fast-paced distribution center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse. This role is crucial for maintaining efficient operations and ensuring the timely delivery of products.

Duties

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to load and unload products from trucks and containers.
• Move materials within the warehouse, ensuring proper organization and storage of inventory.
• Perform routine inspections of forklifts and equipment to ensure safety and compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of orders for shipment by picking items accurately and efficiently.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to maintain workflow and address any operational issues.
• Adhere to safety protocols while performing heavy lifting and operating machinery in a busy environment.

Skills

• Proven experience as a Forklift Operator and a Forklift Certification in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
• Familiarity with SAP ERP system
• Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks (up to 50 lbs) as required.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards related to forklift operation and warehouse safety practices.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately pick orders using order pickers or similar equipment.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and supervisors.
