Welder

DSSI is seeking a skilled Structural Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various welding techniques and fabrication processes, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

Duties

• Perform Stick welding on various materials including sheet metal and structural steel.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to fabricate components according to design requirements.
• Measure components using calipers and micrometers to ensure precision in fabrication.
• Assemble ductwork and other structural components as per project needs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.

Experience

• Proven experience in warehouse environments with a strong understanding of welding processes.
• Familiarity with codes & standards relevant to structural welding.
• Mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and layouts.
• Experience in manufacturing settings is preferred, including knowledge of machining, soldering, plasma cutting, and operating press brake machines.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $28.00 per hour

Must be able to pass background and drug screening

Must have up to date welding certification

If welders have there own gloves, jackets, and hoods is a plus
